Author’s Notes: This is one of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” series, chaptered fics being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice. This is another entry in my “Like a Malfoy” series, following “How Like Hatred,” “A Name Like Henry,” “A Godfather Like Him,” “A Year Like This,” “A Path Like Frost,” and “A Darkness Like Fire.” This won’t make sense without the previous stories in the series, so read those first. Now, semi-estranged from his family, he works in a low-level job at the Ministry, unknowingly using intense Occlumency simply to survive from day to day. Master Legilimens Tom Riddle, called to the Ministry to interrogate a criminal, finds himself more than intrigued by the young man with a quiet mind and deep secrets.
Author’s Notes: This is one of my “Litha to Lammas” fics being posted between the summer solstice and the first of August. It will most likely have six chapters. Note that while the blackmail and sexual humiliation discussed in the content notes don’t take place between Tom and Harry, they will come up, and that this is a very dark fic.

Summary: AU. Soul-marks are everything in the magical world; you can only ever marry or date your soulmate, every person has exactly one mark and match, and even house-elves are slaves because of their lack of marks. The Killing Curse, Unforgivable because it erases the soul’s mark as well as killing the body, has no known survivors. Until it does, and Harry Potter goes to Hogwarts bereft of his mark, the subject of furious debate as to whether his presence dirties the school or if it should be allowed at all. As Harry learns more and more about the underpinnings of the magical world, his fury grows, and he allies with other outcasts to bring down the corrupt system.
Author’s Notes: This is one of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” fics being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice. It’s a massive AU, as you can see from the summary, and will likely have between three and six parts. Please don’t read this unless you’re in the mood for a very dark fic.

Summary: Voldemort’s influence lingers after his death in the form of Parseltongue passed on to the children of everyone with a Dark Mark—or, in Harry’s case, someone who once hosted a Horcrux. As Harry struggles to be a good single father to his son, James, he inevitably runs up against Draco Malfoy, who’s not only a Parselmouth now but attempting to create a whole ritual and school system to benefit himself, his friends, and his son, Scorpius. No matter how much some people don’t like that.
Author’s Notes: This is probably going to be a medium-length fic of around 10-20 chapters. Note that it’s fairly angsty.

He thinks he’s doing very well at resisting temptation, not realizing what a temptation he is himself.
