Summary: Harry pleads with the Sorting Hat not to be put in Slytherin, but it doesn’t listen to him. With his friends in other Houses, and himself the target of bullying from other Slytherins, Harry sets out to learn how to play the game without losing his soul in the process.
Author’s Notes: I don’t expect this story to have a much higher violence metric than canon, but the bullying in the first few chapters will be fairly severe. Keep that in mind as you read. It will update every six or seven days.

Summary: Harry has been having increasingly strange dreams since the end of the war. This leads to a world where he has to take over the support of a decaying network of Dark Marks and somehow bring some kind of ballast to a world where magic is wobbling wildly out of balance. Theo Nott is promising to help, and it’ll be nice if he can—nicer still if Harry didn’t find him so distracting.
Author’s Notes: This is a new WiP that will mostly update on Wednesdays. It’s based on a prompt by katdunn, who asked for a world where Dark and Light magic are out of balance, Snape being alive, and Harry having to take over as a support for the Dark Marks. The current plan is for this story to be around nine chapters.

Blaise Zabini is one of the few people invited into Harry’s secrets, a relationship that grows to be more and more important to both of them as the years pass.

Suddenly trapped in a world where they are the only ones who remember what happened and are no longer recognized by anyone, while replicas of themselves replace them in their lives with their friends and families, Harry and Theo wrestle with being strangers to everyone but each other.

Summary: AU. The Potter twins survive Voldemort’s attack. However, Albus Dumbledore knows that the root cause of the war, pureblood bigotry and hatred against Muggles and Muggleborns, will endure even if Voldemort never returns. He therefore asks Lily and James to send one of their sons to grow up in the Muggle world while training the other to battle Voldemort, so that together the twins can smooth over the differences between the magical and Muggle worlds in the political arena. And perhaps it might have worked, if not for abusive Dursleys, Harry’s inability to fit into the magical world or his family when he learns of his heritage, and a boy named Theodore Nott.
Author’s Notes: This fic is part of the “Harry Potter has a twin” genre, which means it will have a lot of tropes and will not be to everyone’s taste, although I hope to avoid character bashing. It will be irregularly updated. Please take heed of the content notes and tags; this is a very dark fic.

Summary: AU. Instead of becoming Voldemort, Tom Riddle established a school of “secondary importance” for Muggleborns, half-bloods, and Squibs. Since the school frees Hogwarts to continue drifting more towards the purebloods’ whims and wishes, they haven’t raised any large fuss. Besides, everyone knows that half-bloods and Muggleborns don’t have any real power. Just look at Riddle, who had ambitions that outpaced his magical strength. They don’t see the revolution coalescing under the surface.
Author’s Notes: This is a story idea I’ve been brewing in my mind for a long time, and finally decided to write. I don’t have any idea how long it will be at the moment. The title is a twist on “that hideous strength,” used as a title by C. S. Lewis and from a poem by David Lyndsay.

Harry finds himself in 1961, with Albus Dumbledore the Minister for Magic, Gellert Grindelwald his loving husband, Voldemort newly defeated…and Severus Snape being proclaimed the Boy-Who-Lived.
Author’s Note: This is going to be a long story, focusing on Harry mentoring Severus as the Boy-Who-Lived, with flashbacks to an alternate World War II. The Harry-Severus mentorship will remain gen. However, the romantic pairings are a prominent part of the story. The word “Kairos” comes from the Greek, meaning a lucky moment, or the right moment, to act.

Harry Apparates at nine years old and attracts the attention of a Death Eater who takes him into a whole, new, dangerous world—one where the Lord Voldemort rules and his parents fought on the wrong side of the war, but also one where he is valued and taught to use his magic and placed forever above people such as the Dursleys. Harry grows up neither Dark nor Light in a world where many things interest him more than rebellion.
Author’s Notes: This fic will be updated irregularly, whenever I complete a chapter. Its title comes from a quote from George Orwell’s 1984: “Any kind of organized revolt against the Party, which was bound to be a failure, struck her as stupid. The clever thing was to break the rules and stay alive all the same. He wondered vaguely how many others like her there might be in the younger generation: people who had grown up in the world of the Revolution, knowing nothing else, accepting the Party as something unalterable, like the sky, not rebelling against its authority but simply evading it, as a rabbit dodges a dog.”

Summary: Harry has reached a very bitter and jaded thirty. His efforts to reform the Ministry haven’t lessened the corruption or pure-blood bigotry one bit. That’s when he finds out that he’s apparently a part of a pure-blood nobility he’s never heard of before; he’s Lord Potter and Lord Black. Unfortunately, that revelation’s come too late for him to be a reformer. All Harry wants to do is tear the system down and salt the earth. And with a double Lordship, he just might have the power to do that.
Author’s Notes: This fic is largely a partially a parody of some of the tropes common in Lord Potter/Lord Black fics. The title and chapter titles come from one of Oscar Wilde’s poems: “Sweet I blame you not for mine the fault was, had I not been made of common clay/I had climbed the higher heights unclimbed yet, seen the fuller air, the larger day.” I don’t yet know how long this fic will be, but it will get pretty dark.

Summary: Harry Potter has been reborn again and again into new bodies as the Master of Death, some of them not human, none of them exactly like his old one—but he has always helped to defeat Voldemort in each new world. Now he’s Harry Potter again, but his slightly older brother is the target of the prophecy, and Harry assumes his role is going to be to support Jonathan in his defeat of Voldemort. At least, that’s what he thinks until Voldemort comes that Halloween night, discovers what Harry is, and kidnaps him. The story of a long fight between Voldemort’s sadism and Harry’s generosity.
Author’s Notes: This is going to be a very long fic, exploring some fairly dark character interactions. While the heart of the story is Harry’s relationship with Voldemort, that’s going to change only slowly and over time, and there will be plenty of concentration on other characters, too. Now he’s probably going to die unless Harry can successfully bind himself to Malfoy as a temporary mate—and they still have to survive the trek to reach the Veela stronghold.

And the only one of those who has to get instructed by Draco Malfoy, for that matter. Who does not look any better with wings.
Author’s Notes: I came up with this idea a little while ago and tried to get it to stop being ridiculous. It refused. In fact, it gathered more ridiculousness to itself. Therefore, I decided to write it before it got so ridiculous that it made my head explode. This will be updated on Sundays. The title is from William Shakespeare’s first sonnet: “From fairest creatures we desire increase,/ That thereby beauty’s rose might never die.”

But when Narcissa dies and Dumbledore declares his intention to create a soul-bond between Harry and Draco mainly to get rid of the Horcrux in Harry, Draco becomes enraged. He’ll use the soul-bond and the sanctuary Dumbledore gave him. But not exactly in the ways that Dumbledore anticipated.
