lomonaaerenI would like to collect prompts for fics I plan to write in July. I want there to be 31 of them, to end on July 31st and celebrate Harry's birthday.
The thing is, I have 14 prompts, mostly anonymous, from Advent that I didn't fill, so those fics are going to be given priority. So I'll take the first 17 prompts that get left here.
Usual "rules":
-I'll write Harry/Draco, Harry/Snape, Snape/Harry/Draco, Ginny/Luna, Lucius/Harry, or gen of any character. You can suggest other pairings if you want, but I'll most likely not have as much experience in writing them.
-I won't write mpreg, scat, or chan (with character or characters under 15).
-Try to keep the prompt fairly short. I won't be able to do justice to a full AU or very long and complicated prompt.
-Tell me if you have any major squicks.

Date: 2016-06-08 11:16 pm (UTC)The scene is completely up to you. It can be something extraordinary or something as relatively mundane as Harry leading new first years from Hagrid to the Sorting Hat. It just has to be from the PoV of one of the Order members who've used the artifact (one of the adults).
Pairings: Harry/Draco, Hermione/Ron, Ginny/Luna
Books 1-7 compliant, EWE.
N.B. I kept meaning to send this to you as a prompt for a longer AU story, but keep forgetting. Waiting no longer. Do with it what you will!
Extremely Silly Prompt
Date: 2016-06-25 02:03 am (UTC)"Ronald, have you seen my hair tie?" Hermione breezed in, without a stitch of clothing on, her hair going every which way. "Accio- oh, thank you. Harry, could you please?" Taking a hank of hair in one hand, and what appeared to be an outsize pin in the other, she bent down next to Harry's bed. A few whispered sibilants later, what proved on closer inspection to be a small silver snake began writhing about in her hair, and after a few moments gathered it up into a businesslike bun.
"What in the world?"
"Black family heirloom."
"I should have known. But what I didn't expect was for her to be... bare."
"Ah, funny story, actually, at least in hindsight. She had a nasty experience with Polyjuice and kneazle hair--"
"Eugh!"
"--after which she began researching epilatory spells until she found a really effective one."
"I can sympathize. But does she ordinarily swan about in the altogether?"
"It's Hermione! She once spent a month 'desegregating' the bogs because 'separate but equal is unequal', and I don't think I've seen her more displeased with Professor McGonagall than when she said that the spell which turns the girls' stair into a slide if a boy tries to go up was not coming off."
"Sounds as though you could play some real pranks with that one. Not to mention all the ways around it, starting with brooms."
"I think they count on Griffindors to be too straightforward for that."
Another silly one
Date: 2016-07-21 05:23 am (UTC)There's a good reason the word "magic" isn't spoken in the Dursley home, and Harry begins to realize what it is when he notices how eerily adolescent Dudley resembles Vernon, who is still as tow-headed as an infant in his middle age.
There was no Hogwarts letter for Tuney, but forty years on, her new doctor recommends that she try a different maintenance medication for her seizure disorder, because it may have fewer side effects, and her life begins to change in highly unexpected ways.
Yep, yep, the Dursleys are descended from a Squib Malfoy who was exiled to the Muggle world, and Petunia starts to manifest magic right about the time Dudley finishes school. I can even envision "Mrs Figg to the rescue!" because it's that crazy of a prompt. And Harry/Draco in the middle of this chaos might bring in some interesting confusion…
