Summary: AU. Severus Snape does not want to mentor the Boy-Who-Lived, but it seems inevitable when Potter is placed into his House. As the years pass and Potter turns darker and darker, Severus wonders whether he succeeded or failed.
Author’s Notes: This is part of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” series, for a prompt by NewMidnightBlueJay, which is essentially the summary. It will be posted with a scene or a few scenes daily until it finishes with the solstice. The title means a slow tempo in music.

Summary: Theo Nott comes to Harry with a rather unusual request—to harvest the basilisk that he killed during his second year and use that to help Theo cure a blood curse. Oh, and to feed Theo the heart so that he can become a Parselmouth. Harry decides this is better than feeling sorry for himself because the school thinks he’s a cheater, and begins the first steps on a journey down a radiant pathway with Theo at his side.
Author’s Notes: This is one of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” chaptered stories being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice. BellaBix gave me a request for Theo helping Harry harvest the basilisk and becoming a Parselmouth when Harry feeds him the heart. This should have four or five parts. Hope you enjoy.

Summary: In a world where Harry lives with his parents, James and Lily, and grew up happy and loved, he begins to sense that something is wrong. He has horrific dreams that predict he will become a violent killer, and someone seems to be watching him at every moment of the day. But even as he acts to protect himself, Harry cannot predict what the final result will be.
Author’s Notes: This is one of my “Songs of the Stormy Season” short stories and one-shots being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice. This is the story specifically for Halloween. The title is taken from a great Shirley Jackson short story, which I do urge you to read, but which doesn’t have any particular connection to this story’s plot.
