That was fascinating to read. Usually, his personas are like his hands; he uses them, and he has figured them out so well he can almost let them do without paying attention. But there, his personas were like the hands weren't attached to him anymore, but they wanted to be. (Macabre metaphor...)
Hm. In a way, I can understand Hermione. I mean, I wouldn't know how to handle a friend who I thought had big, big problems. But I think I'm very different; I'm a hug-and-listen-person. If they had talked about it, if Hermione had stayed and they had talked, things would have been different.
That's good. I don't like unhappy ends.
Haha, I can see Draco trying to jump and strangle Hermione the second he sees her... though he wouldn't do something as common as that. Use a strangling hex, maybe.
