Only 14 chapters left, and most of them are going to be spent tying up the two major plots: Harry's issues and how those connect to his relationship with Draco, and the plot of the rebellion. So very soon conclusions will either be proven or disproven.
One reason I chose to do that is because I think the wizarding world is very nineteenth-century in a lot of its attitudes (other than the fact that women can hold more jobs than Victorian British women could). And though a lot of homosexual activity was around in Victorian England, it was also socially disapproved of.
