This is one of the limitations of writing the story from solely Harry and Draco POV. If I could nip off to Ron or Hermione's head for a moment, I could give their perspective on the situation. But I can't do that, so the information on what they're doing will have to wait until Chapter 37.
One reason for Harry's accepting attitude will also be explained in future chapters (either Chapter 38 or 39; I'm not sure which at this point). You may notice, though, that he doesn't take this shite from just anyone. It's people who are important to him that's the dividing line.
