Anyway, I think you're doing it very well. I'm doing a bit of research on lesbian history in the early 20th centuries for an essay and a lot that I read I see coming back in your story, I mean the struggle for acceptance and the opposition they face. It's truly wonderful to read.
And on a side not, Despised and Rejected had all its available copies taken and destroyed by the government and was banned, but reportedly not for its sexual content (lesbians and gay men featured the main characters). I'll shut up now, I get so excited talking about this >.
