I think Harry would have to make the major effort to get used to Draco as a person if there's ever to be a relationship between them. They'd both have to overcome their past history, but I just don't see Harry as deliberately annoying in the same fashion Draco is; he's more thoughtless.
For some reason, I immediately wanted to use the peanut butter sandwich that way, the minute I saw it in the prompt. In fact, some of the plot-crafting was an excuse to get there.
This was a deliberate try at a friendly Ginny. I think I'll be doing more of that in the future.
