Oh, such a wonderful chapter!! That first part was amazingly written. It was eerie, in the way that it captured perfectly that non-humanly feeling and at the same time showing that it should be human. Gah, I can’t explain it, it’s a feeling ::is frustrated:: It was also great way for Harry (and us) to learn some of Draco’s thoughts and feelings, and for Draco to know some things about Harry he otherwise would never have known. I especially loved that you wrote Draco’s thoughts from when Harry found him, and that the most important thing was that no matter what, Harry always survive Someone working beside him would have a much better chance of living than anyone working alone. That was very logical for someone in Draco’s situation.
Harry is so frustrating! I’m torn between being amused at his discomfort (aw, flustered Harry is so cute), feeling sorry for him, feeling sympathetic and wanting to smack him for the way he rejected Draco. I’m sure it hurt Draco a lot, and reminded him of that time when Harry turn down his hand. Only worse, because now he didn’t do anything wrong and doesn’t know why Harry did it.
Or make sure that he has the chance to reach St. Mungo’s, if there’s no way to free him from the maze but my plan. Ok, I’ll take your advice and won’t take anything Harry’s says about his plan to heart, while fearing then worst :P
