I really wanted Draco to be able to retain some pride, particularly as Daphne captured him pretty easily (and this never would have happened if he hadn't been so stupid in the first place), but I had to work within the limitations of Daphne's power and Legilimency so as not to make her seem less of a threat.
Well, Harry probably wouldn't mind attention if Draco wanted to give it to him! He just really hates being in a hospital bed.
I'm not even sure that Harry is magically stronger than average; the only spells he seems to really do which are unusual for his age/level in the books are the Patronus Charm and the Shield Charm. But this is fanon! :)
