Ginny’s intentions may have been good, but that doesn’t change the fact that what she did was stupid. She should have told Harry (or written to him, if she didn’t want to met him in person) all this instead of acting on her own. What bothered me was this:

I just—I don’t like the fact that you’re spending so much time with him, Harry

Maybe it wasn’t her intention, but that sounded far too controlling. And she already has (unknowingly) a lot of control over him; every flinch strengthens Harry’s conviction that the potion is a good thing.

I loved how Draco keeps contact with the house-elves behind his parents’ backs! Even if Draco doesn’t consider what he does with Daphne as whoring, I think on some level he does... or at least, is ashamed of what he does. And that’s other reason for not wanting to tell Harry, besides what Harry himself would think.

And maybe more than that, if I can go slowly enough.

More like, if Draco can go slowly enough to make Harry understand he doesn’t need the potion. If Harry finds out now that Draco’s condition for dating him is for Harry to lay off the potion, Harry would do whatever it takes to get over his crush. Harry would have to be in the ‘can’t live without him’ stage before he even considers stopping. Unless, of course, Draco finds a way to convince him.

Ooh, Cordelia’s pissed! I can’t wait to see what she’ll do, and how Draco’s meeting with Harry and Hermione goes. I want to see how a non-depressed Hermione gets on with him.
