If it helps, neither Harry nor Draco will simply collapse and give up. I'm writing this story based on the premise that people can climb up a little from the darkness- I don't think Harry or Draco will ever be normal again, nor "fixed" or "healed," but on the other hand, I can't see them being content to spend the rest of their lives as catatonic. There will be fighting, and if they go down, they'll go down struggling.
