So many things to say about this chapter! Apart from ‘I loved it!!’ :P
First of all, I loved how Draco immediately start thinking about marketing. That he had to drink the potion, not only to test it, but because he was curious, actually kind of worries me. People who are happy and don’t think there’s anything about them that needs changing might drink it out of sheer curiosity, and once they do change (because there’s always something you don’t like about you, o matter how small) they could become addicts, unnecessarily.
What he most hated about himself was the indecisiveness that sometimes plagued him—overcaution I wasn’t expecting this, but it makes sense for this Draco. After all, the war is over, his job is the most important thing for him, so he would hate any quality that affects it in a bad way. He’s not a coward when it comes to his job.
Regarding Draco on the potion, there are two things I’m worried about. The first one is related with Cordelia’s visit, because I don’t think the visit went very well (not sure why though) and I don’t think Draco realises it (if it went wrong, that is). The second one is about him thinking the potion is the reason he got Harry as a brewing partner. That self-control is not him, and does he really think that’s a good basis for a friendship? Wouldn’t he rather have Harry’s friendship in spite his faults? Maybe I’m worrying about nothing and Draco won’t start relying on the potion the way Harry does.
I’m a little puzzle about what Harry said, that he needed rules… as if he needs control, so he wants all the dos and don’ts of their relationship in advance to skip that first stage when you learn them. Usually by making mistakes.
“I want to read.” That was the best part :) It’s so Hermione, the urge to read being a sign of content.
Next chapter the Incident is revealed! I’m so excited!!! :D
