I only just now read this story, and I have enjoyed every chapter. I can't wait to see how the potion helps Hermione.
As for Harry's secret, I think he attacked or hurt Ginny in some way, physically, magically, or sexually (or some combination of those), though I have a hard time imagining what could have triggered it. The potion seems to act in a way to reduce his anger, his lust, and his passion. He seems to be afraid of what happens when he lets his emotions... his desire have free rein. And I can totally understand how this reluctance to be that intimate with another person would tend to encourage his partners to find someone else to be passionate with.
I love that Harry, Draco, and Hermione are connecting on an intellectual level, and that Harry and Draco work together so well, as illustrated in this chapter. The brewing was so very intimate, and engaging and hot. I look forward to reading more.
