Just as I thought my love for your one-shots couldn’t get any stronger, you go and write this. This is officially my favourite one-shot so far. I love the humor, it’s hilarious without turning into crack: the V.A.M.P. pamphlets, the group meetings, the language Gloriosa wants them to use, the thought sharing during the exam, Draco whining at the unfairness of the universe… all of it. But at the same time there’s a more serious theme going on: Draco’s inability at accepting reality and how he wouldn’t survive in the wizarding world alone. It was interesting reading from you a Draco who hasn’t matured after the war, who wouldn’t be able to make it on his own, though I loved this spoiled, petulant, detached fro reality drama queen Draco XD
I loved stubborn!obsessed-and-denying-it!Harry ::lol:: He was so disappointed when Draco told him about being a vampire, now there wasn’t a real excuse to use against Ginny. He was totally freaked out when they bonded, I loved his reaction. I also like the slow warming up to Draco, Draco helping him during Auror training and Harry helping Draco survive the dreaded Group Meeting XD And how they got to an understanding about ignoring some thoughts and feelings, giving the other some privacy. I have a weakness for telepathy in stories, so this is what really made the story for me, I hope you write more fics with it :D
Narcissa was lovely. Her love for Draco despite all his faults, her understanding of his future and her efforts to ensure he has a better life, even if it’s as a vampire. The ending was so sweet and fluffy! The whole story gave me warm and fuzzy feelings :) Oh, and I can’t forget about the hot feelings in that last part, too, when Draco told Harry to keep his eyes open (and Harry thinking he wasn’t doing because he was ordered to). The drinking blood part was very erotic, as was the descriptions on Draco’s thoughts during Harry and Draco’s first meeting.
Of course, Hermione was spot-on. I loved when she ordered Ron to cook, he’s so whipped, and they aren’t even married yet. I really liked Gloriosa too, the 600 year old vampire, unremarkable looking but extremely strong, who wants everyone talking like a vampire in a bad romance novel.
This was another cliché you wrote and gave new twist to. (I don’t think there’s a Secret Underground Vampire Bureaucracy anywhere, tough this is the first vampire!Draco story I read). Not that I would object if you write more ::lol::
