I was careful to give the impression that it could be Voldemort. The only concrete clue before the end is Kingsley looking surprised when Harry mentions him instead of Lucius. But yeah, I think Draco would want his father back a lot more, especially after the seventh book.
It's true that Harry would have been a horribly changed man if he survived. On the other hand, it was all Draco's fault that he changed in the first place.
