Harry definitely lashes out when enraged. In this case, it will depend on whether he can find a target to strike at.
I hadn't thought about that part of Harry's requesting small words, but you're right. He knows Draco might be thinking all sorts of snide things, but he won't react irrationally and hold his contempt of Harry higher than the need to inform him. That's another aspect of Harry trusting him.
Draco doesn't yet know Harry's gay (and, I'm fairly certain, would not suspect it), so he probably wouldn't notice the signs of budding interest at first.
Oh, Ron (if Ron is alive) would just freak right out to see how in tune Harry is with Draco. There's what's needed to survive, and then there's the way they act around each other.
