I'm actually more on Harry's side, too, but that's because I don't think he really has any other way to react than the way he's reacting. He's right in the midst of the situation, while other people at a more comfortable distance can see other reasons behind Draco's actions.
Draco has lost memories of the last year, and not much else. He still insults Harry, after all. He's just more cautious about it, because insulting the one person who might be able to get him out of there too much is Not a Good Idea.
