Thank you! I enjoy writing those kinds of things, and I've picked up a lot more SF lately, so the influence is leaking into my fics.
And I know what you mean about those themes being rare in fanfic. I've encountered some like that, but nearly all the ones with cool magical ideas, at least in HP, tend to be darkfic with unnecessary gore or revenge quests with everyone OOC and abusive at the same time.
