I just stopped reading mid-chapter because I remembered what your story sp strongly reminded me of - have you ever read "The Sensible Garden" by [livejournal.com profile] joanwilder a.k.a. RaeWhit? It's a H/S story, but it's also got beautiful descriptions of flowers *g*
