I think it helps that Harry now sees Draco as someone he has to protect. He built a friendship with Hermione and Ron out of helping them fight the troll.
It will be another way. He has no particular reason to think that Pomfrey's block connects to his own in any way.
Ron and Hermione are going to be upset when they realize how thoroughly Harry is ignoring their little affair. :)
