Don't feel bad, I'm spending a whole lot of good money to learn and understand it (the biology, I mean). The previous reviewer asked a reasonably deep question, hence my bloody long answer.
As it so happens, I go to a school that offers a Harry-Potter-as-Literature type course. Lovely little class :) and leaves you lots of time to come up with magical genetics and physiology theories. -Jolene
