I think Harry privately kind of enjoys being fussed over by a lover. When he was with Ginny, he had to do the protecting.
She wants some kind of acknowledgment from Harry- some acknowledgment that she was right, basically. Harry is reluctant to give her that. She might go away if he did, but on the other hand, maybe it would encourage her to keep talking to him like they were friends.
