As far as I know, the last time the Sword appeared in canon was when Neville used it to cut Nagini's head off.
D'oh! Of course it did. How the hell could I forget that? And since Dumbledore gave the sword to Harry in his will, Harry probably would have kept it (or put it on display in Minerva's office or otherwise done something other than return it to the goblins.)
