Fuck, what a cliffhanger!! Though because we know he’s not gonna die, I’m not so much worried as curious. If it’s Nihil, attacking only Harry knowing (if he knew, which I’m betting on) that he’ll be at the Malfoy’s would be killing two birds with one stone. The problems they have from supporting Voldemort would be nothing compared to the shit they’d get into if Harry died there. I’m also curious about how Draco will handle this. He’ll have to learn to keep his head cool, those kinds of scenarios are probable in their future. I know he managed when Harry leaped in front of him that other time but well… this is much more serious.
My partner. Mine. And he’s dying.
That made quite an impression on me too. It’s like, there’s so much intensity and desperation in that simple statement.
I always love you Narcissa. She’s such a lady! The tour was perfect, no matter what Harry thinks, in my opinion everything she did was to make him comfortable. I don’t know if it was your intention, but I could see the similarity between her and Draco (in manners and personality). I think Draco should follow her advice. Knowing Harry, he’ll misinterpret Draco and do, or say, something stupid. Actually, Draco should just tell Harry how he feels. Of course, Draco doesn’t know one of Harry’s main denial friendly arguments is that Draco couldn’t possibly be attracted to him. If only Draco took a chance…
I loved the part with Draco talking to Arrowshot, obviously :D And Harry’s reactions were interesting to compare with Ron’s. The immediate reaction was similar, I guess, but the way they chose to act on it showed that Harry is more mature than Ron, at this moment. It’s kind of cute, Harry has no reason to feel jealous, which he’d know if he and Draco talked. For example, if he knew about that thought Draco had about joking with Harry (a part that made me smile, btw).
He hated showing that much emotion in front of the Offensive and Defensive instructor. Dearborn would always find some way to mock him for it, or to look at him and make him feel as if it was a weakness.
That was interesting considering the way Dearborn acted when he told Draco about his brother. Draco did consider Dearborn’s emotions a weakness. Heh, maybe they are similar. Or maybe it’s just an upbringing thing.
“I was talking about your mother, actually,” Potter said, and then had the good sense to dodge to the side to avoid the hex that followed. Draco only felt more irritated when he remembered that their compatible magic wouldn’t actually have let him touch Potter.
I laughed at that part. For all the ‘my father this, my father that’ when he was young, Draco always seemed more attached to his mother.
Draco grimaced and pushed his fingers through the side of his hair, where the ruffling wouldn’t show.
That was one of my favourites, hahaha. Maybe he should teach Harry that trick?
