I really like everything about the waking universe plot (auror -> lawyer, training seeker!Draco, etc.), but it does seem like it would be really complicated to interweave the sleeping universe plot with it. I've never seen you fail at anything before, though, so I would trust you to accomplish it ;) I hope that if you decide not to do it, that you might still use the waking universe plot or elements thereof sometime in the future....
