wow, what an effective intervention. and more effective than anything that his friends and kingsley were willing to do. i wonder whether, had he turned up at st mungo's (voluntarily or not), they would have pensieved some of his own memories, or the memories of his friends to make him face the truth. because it seems entirely possible that this is a facet of mind-healing. and wouldn't draco have had to study at least some of the principles of mind-healing in order to really get his fantasy fulfillment business to work?
another lovely and brilliant chapter. i love how psychological your stories are. and yeah, i too was taken in by harry's delusion until this point -- i knew he needed some sort of help and some relaxation, but hadn't realized how erratic his behavior was or that he was beset by such strong self-loathing until he started reviewing his work in this chapter.
