Harry is already in the midst of something he thinks he can't tolerate: losing control in front of other people. He keeps trying to twist things back into a shape that he understands. Thus his desire to think that Draco is mad, or that he needs help, because either of those possibilities Harry could cope with better than 'sane and interested in me.'
