This chapter does justice to the Harry-Ron-Hermione friendships with their weaknesses and their strengths--and shows how each of the characters is changing in a believable way. (They feel like the college-age kids they are--maturer than their high school selves, but still yearning for things to come to them easy.)
You do a striking job with the punch-in-the-gut realization by Draco: letting us see it through Harry's eyes, then feel it with Draco himself.
