This does fit canon. It is interesting though that canon!Dumbledore was able to make leaps in thinking as to whether Harry would survive his confrontation with Voldemort. Although I honestly wouldn't want to think about it because it seems that it would be a 'okay, it's a hit or miss but it can turn out either way' type of thing.
The situation at Malfoy Manor must be very upsetting to say the least.... Oh, damn it! I'll just admit it: I really am fond of the Malfoys.
This is quite a feat. No one has actually died yet compared to canon but there's still that heightened fear of anxiety and fear. Perhaps more so.
And there is so much love going around in this chapter.
