Severus will try next chapter. The main problem is that he's still obsessed with making himself look weak, and he doesn't know Harry well enough yet to realize that Harry wouldn't betray secrets like that just because Severus betrayed his.
Draco likes to construct rationales after the fact, but he did not, really, make any decision to act like a Gryffindor. He just blew up and rushed in there. His mother is right: he needs to learn to control himself. He does better when he thinks things through, while Harry does better when he acts instinctively.
But Shakespeare was a filthy Muggle! (Heh. I agree that things would be easier if Draco did read Shakespeare).
