I don't think Draco could ever consciously reject Scorpius, but he came close to doing it unconsciously thanks to his parents' stupid rules. (He really needs to be more careful about which of those he internalizes).
The next two chapters will be more slowly-paced, and hopefully they'll have some time to ease into a relationship.
