Narcissa thinks about this in the next chapter. Because it would be more convenient for the Malfoys if Harry understood the spell and they didn't have to explain it, Lucius and Draco just assume he will. They have to get used to baring their souls around him, and understanding that reality doesn't change to suit their convenience.
He's heard part of the lesson. Harry still has some truths to drum into his head, of course. :)
