Writing that article was uncomfortable. I wanted to create something that would hurt Harry, but at the same time, I had to show Draco's (unadmitted) discomfort with the whole thing, and because it was in Harry's POV, I had to overcome the temptation to be nicer to him.
Harry's a bit less all right than he pretends, thus the weird smile and the clanging emotions. But yes, for the most part he's what he told Draco: wounded, but able to heal.
Draco is going to tear him apart in the next chapter. Fun!
