I just finished my history exam (and oh,was it torturous to try not peek on this chapter yesterday) and all the stress and pain and fret is completely worth it! My favorite chapter so far. Draco is perfectly lovely here - I nearly adore him as much as I do Harry, which is saying a lot.
He's such a romantic. Still funny as hell though. Yes, Draco. You and your family had the whole Voldemort situation under control, how silly of Harry to get rid of him. *pats* And that part about fluids! I really, really wanted Draco to pounce on Harry (even though I know he wouldn't) for a second there, if only to see Harry freak out. No, seriously, that scene was intense. I get why the spell is a big deal here, something I didn't really grasp in BbU. Hope we can see Lucius' and Narcissa's thoughts later!
I also loved the part when Draco did his research. I've always been curious about Gene in BbU, as brief as his mentions were. His being one of the strongest relationship Harry had, his reason for separating from Harry (Harry was running ragged trying to take care of him- is he physically impaired?) and now being the most mysterious of Harry's exes. No last lame! No comment to the press! I know he's not really part of the story but I'm curious. I already kind of imagine he and Harry was genuinely fond of each other, maybe were even in love.
Two last things to squee on. Love, love, love that you gave a compelling reason for the acceptance of same sex partners in pureblood society. It makes sense. I'm glad that you didn't write it off. The last is something I find in nearly all your stories I love the shift from 'Potter' to 'Harry'. Sometimes I run into fics where Harry and Draco was supposed to 'hate' each other but refers one another with their first names. It doesn't really work.
And now, since I've rambled my all, I'll just stop here. Really hope you update soon.
