Believe me, I understand completely. I've had to limit myself to just one WiP in the past, because I'd get way too caught up.
This is set post-war, but as though HBP was the last of the canon books. That means the history and backstory of the war are rather different (though Harry did still acquire Draco's wand at one point and save his life several times). The backstory's not revealed all at once, though, but little by little over time.
This is also a rather dark story, because of the obsession theme. I wouldn't call it horror, but it is heavy angst (or as my new tag says, "creepy!fic.")
