When they are done right (I mean when there is no bashing and she isn't just the shallow evil guy/girl) I can enjoy them too, but most authors are taking the easy way out in my opinion. She's the convenient sidecharacter that plays an importan role, but appears not too often, so there's a relative freedom on how to display her. And by now I've read so many stories in which Ginny is "evil" that I'm a little tired of them.
By the way, "ephemera" sounds very beautiful, not like the German word for them. That's one-day's-fly, translated word to word.
