I find it hard to comment on the darkness level of the story anymore. Draco is relaxing a little, letting softer emotions near the surface, but of course that might not last. (I can see why you find him cute, though).
Poor Ron and Shacklebolt. Their best friend and best Auror is just not doing his job!
