I read another reader's comment saying you promised a happy ending? I'm not saying Harry and Draco will have a "normal" relationship, but this isn't a true tragedy right? I can stand really dark stories as long as my boys make it out alive.
Speaking of the boys, man do they both have it bad! It's so ironic considering their mutual obsessions how off-base they are about each other. At least Harry realizes he is head over heels. Draco however, he thinks he is so smart as he tries to Harry closer. He has no idea that he already has Harry. He captured Harry before he ever tried to. It is obvious now that Draco is only digging himself a hole!
The most surprising development in this fic thus far is Lucius. I have never really encountered a Lucius I liked; he always seems to come off the same way: Slytherin, arrogant, sometimes witty, ignorant, etc. Even when an author attempted to flesh him out, I never quite got him. Yours however, I love. He is literally the first Lucius I have ever liked. I love how he knows Draco so well, how he has realized his mistakes, but doesn't come off as clichely redeemed. I love his own obsession with Narcissa. How he is so perceptive into Draco's situation and yet comes off a little bit insane with the whole whispering voice and hermit life. I especially love the empty portrait.
I really can't read a story that ends in tragedy, but I would really like to continue with this.
