Oddly enough, Harry's not aware of being skittish. He just knows that he's in a new place, among people of a certain class, and that he doesn't like the feelings it gives him, so he wants to leave as soon as possible.
I'm not sure if Healer Pontiff will appear again, but her advice certainly will!
