i just wrote a novel length comment for this chapter and chapters 35-38 since i've been offline for two weeks and stayed up all night catching up and then firefox just deleted it *cries*
so let me paraphrase my comment for 35-38: AMAZING!!!
the conflict with ron and hermione is so real and poignant. i especially loved ron's denial when he performed that spell on harry at the party. it added an innocent side to his ignorant one.
the scene when harry's personae were preparing the potion to induce permanent transformation was just...wow. the manic, frantic mood really came across. and harry's vulnerability and fragility when draco found him was incredible. and i was so happy draco didn't back down and told harry he did want him to be in control of his personae.
this chapter was great too! i loved how honest both harry and draco's emotions were when harry asked draco if he could make love to him. it was all just very real. i was so proud of harry when he gave hermione the ultimatum. and what a perfect last line. go harry!!!!!!!
