Hi, I'm Sophie. I've been reading this since the beginning, and horribly refrained from commenting. I should have. I'm quite shy, but that means my first comment here is criticism. I hate that. I generally love your work.
Ok, I still love your writing and will continue to read this because I'm curious about the ending... but you lost me pretty hard here. I find this Harry rather loathsome. That may seem harsh, but the problems he's been attempting to escape are issues of self pity and useless guilt. I'm not saying he should have answered all the of the desperate cries for help, but he should have matured enough (and I think he had by the end of DH) to not take on this stupid guilt. His problems sound quite... laughable. I mean, a dead plant, a missed party, and a panic attack. WTF? This is the kind of thing that leads to severe MPD? I'm fine with him wanting to hide a little, but a complete collapse of his self-image?
Not only that, but the way he just dealt with Hermione, who was honestly trying to help, was pretty low. She was being a busybody, but that's how they became friends in the first place. Soooo. Why the super hostility? Towards your Ron, sure, but Hermione? He LIED to his friends for years. The way you describe her as "chastened" when she was, in essence, right seems rather awful. She's not trying to get between Harry and Draco. She's trying to help her friend, who last time she saw him, was on the edge of collapse, and in need of psychiatric help. He was about to erase himself. That's pretty crazy.
Feel free to respond scathingly if your trying to portray Harry and Draco in a negative light, but if their supposed to be right... or you know just feel free to respond scathingly.
Soooo, that said. I love your stories, I'll still be reading. Thank you for posting such well thought out and written stories so often. That's wonderful. I still love your Draco, and your detail, and the way you manage huge casts of characters.

I apologize for the obscenely long comment.
