there was a tremendous beauty and solitude to this, even as it was telling the story of two people coming together. the gentleness of the complete surrender showed how deep of a need that is was for the characters, rather than a harsh reality that had been thrust upon them. I enjoyed the ebb and flow of the timeline, the changing of tenses to between present and past, and the great hope that Harry has for the future, even as he seems to be gloriously content in the present.
on a side note, we just did an adaptation of Calderon de la Barca's Life is a Dream at my theater and called it Fever/Dream. I couldn't help but have flashbacks to the show as I was reading the parts with the large white rose. very dreamlike indeed.
