You know what I would like?

For "Another Country" not to turn into a novella, the way it's threatening to do.

(Seriously. 8000 words and a lot of them are details about the Healers' treatment of Harry and Harry's resentment of this and Draco's library-spirit? Seriously? You were supposed to be on your way to establishing the relationship by now, story).

The editor is your friend! :) *hands you scissors*

I feel your pain. I wrote a story for the fairy tale fest. It was supposed to be like 25-30 pages or so. Turned out to be around 70. And the whole time, I was like, crap, deadline, deadline, deadline...

*looks forward to each and every word*

I would tell you to just quit, but you are such a fantastic writer, I know I'd hate myself for it.

Seriously, you are a great writer who has a natural ability with words.

How about I hand you some milk and cookies, instead?

This is why I voted for Departure. ;)

I'm still really looking forward to this story, though. ^_^

I hear writers talk about their characters as if they have a mind of their own...and so it sounds like stories do too. Maybe this one is compensating for the fact that Harry and Draco moved along more quickly than you'd anticipated in Soldier's Welcome. Or maybe this is your Infinite Game at work. :)

I offer cookies and caffeine, if either will help. Cookies to cheer you up, and caffiene to help you write faster. Oh, I also have a good red pen, to edit with, if you'd like to borrow it.

Um...I don't want to jinx myself, since I'm almost desperate to see long-one-shot #3, Virgin Revelry, get written...but maybe write some short one-shots or little fluffy things? Might make the novellas go away...

I love novels, I will read every word.
Pathetic people like me need to absorb
and get lost in detailed, long fictions.
Helps me leave the real life plane.

Hehee... Is it very wrong of me to take pleasure in your pain when it gives me more fic?
*g*

Good luck with the writing darling!

Just write it all Lo, and later revise it with your beta. And take off the parts you feel are not needed. ^^

Although it might be somewhat inconsiderate of me, i can only be happy about that for it simply means that I'll have more fun)) especially as I like stories where there is something wrong with Harry and Draco hels him))

off-topic: I wanted to ask you about something. a pretty long time ago (2007, beginning of 2008) you were planning to write a story called "Written by the Losers". I really liked the description you gave. Later, you stopped mentioning it. Have you completely given up on the idea or might there be some hope that you'll write it sometime later?
