The problem with writing more fics...

is that then I have more things to edit, and they pile up more quickly than I have time to edit them while I'm also writing. And then the writing produces more fics, and the problem increases.

Currently, I have "Virgin Revelry" (about a third edited- it's 28,000 words, okay? This takes time), Chapter 6 of Sympathy for the Predators, and "Ron Weasley and the Entropy of the Situation" done and ready to go. As soon as I go through them, correct typos and other mistakes, and put in all the little pesky HTML it needs to be posted on LJ. (Rich text breaks my computer).

Also, "The Mark of the Fox" is almost done, and Draco is such a bastard. Definitely the worst Draco I have ever written. I am kind of worried about the reaction to this story, to be honest, although there are sequels to come that will change the balance of power in the situation.

Stupid fics.

Your life IS hard *pets* You write so frequently- I've often wondered: are you Just.THAT.good. Or a high school student. Or a college student. Or other? It would take me forever to write as much as you do, I don't know how you do it!

if it would make your life easier, and you ever want to, i could make myself available for beta services. and i can put them in html if you have the basic stuff (like what's supposed to be italicized) already done in the word file or rtf or whatever.

i love copy-editing. i have e-publishing experience. i'll also annoy the hell out of you if the characterization falls apart or the plot somehow is contradictory or whatnot.

*imagines self happily buried under lomonaaeren's rough-ish drafts*

ETA: i can't believe i sent of an offer of my beta services with TYPOS! i'm really rather better than that. and i won't change your capital letters to lower-case, either.

Your life is ... hard. But mine is harder, because I sometimes have to *gasp* wait for updates! ;)

Thank you a googol times over for all your amazing writings.

I'm prepared to offer the same thing as songquake, though I'm sure if you needed a beta you could easily find one-- I don't know anyone who's read your fic and not loved it. That, said, uh, I currently have an English/creative writing degree that's languishing away unused.

Probably I should be better about commenting so you'd know who I was when I make offers like this. I'll work on that for you.

I offer the betaing services as well if you want. I'm a bit wordy in comments at times though.

Hmm. Sounds like an interesting Draco. :)

I can't even imagine how you have time to WRITE all the stuff you do write and post and edit and whatnot...
I mean, I can't even find time to BEGIN Ceremonies of Strife *headdesk* AND I WANT TO! I'm such a horrible prioritiser >.<

*bows to your amazingness*

Good luck!

ooOOO "The Mark of the Fox" sounds interesting. :)

Honestly, you write so much so often that I could never complain really about waiting between posts. I've always wondered how you manage to do so much... and all at the same time! XD You're simply brilliant, I think. But no pressure X.x *offers hugs* I thank you a million-fold for all you do and post. :) You needn't rush.

*snug* :)

I was hoping someone [more qualified] would offer to help. Accounting degrees can only do so much for a fic. ;)

And I second all the comments that you are amazing and we are so thankful. *bows*

Oh my. You work so hard to please all of us begging and adoring reviewers. (Is it sad that I checked my computer about twenty times yesterday looking for an update?)

Draco being a true bastard sounds delightful. Seems like he might be a bit more canon-level nasty than most H/D stories make him (so that way and Harry have a chance at sucess).

*dances around happily* Virgin Revelry is almost posted?!?!?! I have been agonizing over what Draco's solution would be for nigh a year now, ever since I read the description. Can. Not. Wait.

Really, I can't wait for the next update, whatever it might be. I mean that with all sincerity.

Haha, yes writing always is a love/hate relationship. I can be bursting at the seams, and then be dry for weeks at a time. Probably why I only average a fic or two year. I'm just too damn busy to actually sit down and write like you do. I don't know how you do it, because I recall you saying you were a grad student, and jesus, I have friends there now and I will (hopefully) be there in the fall, and all I hear about is how much effort and time consumption is involved in grad school. You must have amazing time management skills, is all I can say.

Also, I'm currently rereading Bloody but Unbowed and struck again by how much I fucking love that story. And Invictus, of course. :)

Upcoming story, Mark of the Fox

Include what you just wrote about it in the warnings and/or author's notes and people like me, who know their limits, will know to wait a story or two before checking it out--if at all. If anyone flames you after fair warning, sic the rest of us on 'em. I've got rope and I know we can scrounde up some tar and feathers somewhere...
