In the books, it's mentioned that you can't legally force Veritaserum on a person against their will. Narcissa refused it, so there you go. They can use Harry's Pensieve memories, of course.

The Healers may have found traces of the potion, but the information wouldn't fit gracefully into this chapter. It'll be mentioned later instead.

Harry is probably less confident about his bond with Draco than he pretends. Doing something that might jeopardize that bond frightens him.

Narcissa probably still doesn't believe that Draco's alienation is permanent. She just doesn't understand him emotionally, however much she might understand his moves intellectually.

In the case of those sentences, I'm positive they're grammatically correct. I do have a preference for archaic diction sometimes, but with Draco, at least, it feels appropriate.
