I read the other comments, and I'd have to say that I kind of agree about Shacklebolt. But on the other side, the politics are so complicated, that it's understandable (is that a word? I'm not sure. English is not my first language!) that he'd want to play on the safe side.
What an intense battle! I couldn't help but wonder whether he'd win or not. Especially since Harry was already thinking of what'd happen if he'd lose, I started to wonder about the same thing! I'm glad he won, though. Another twist in the plot, where Draco, Hermione and Milicent would have to help Harry to recover from the curse, would've been a bit too much, I think. Hopefully the curse didn't leave some nasty side effects...
Ah... Harry. I don't know what to say. He's barely able to stand, but thinks only about Draco's relationship with his parents. Which was bad from the beginning. And all the while it's totally obvious that she used dark magic on him. Even if he couldn't sense it, being otherwise occupied, but he knew it was dark magic in the first place. Just what was he thinking!
I'm still a bit confused, though. Narcissa obviously raised alarm by doing what she did, but shouldn't she have expected that? It feels like there's something behind it. If there isn't, it'd just be weird and stupid of her to do all that. Even if there is, I don't think she'd sacrifice herself for the sake of it. It must be a very intricate plan, then.
