This was beautifully touching and extremely heartwarming. This Draco is very believable. I very much enjoyed the change from Harry being the one to carry so much guilt. I like to think that post-war Draco genuinely regretted the choices that he and his family made and I can see him silently enduring the cruelty of his coworkers. The unicorn was simply wonderful. I thought the descriptive words you used were very appropriate (scooped out, cleansed, purified). I'm also glad that this incident didn't become a cure-all (suddenly the guilt is gone and he begins to hex his coworkers. This type of recovery is a long-term process. But the two beacons in the darkeness ended the story on such a powerful optimistic tone that we know Draco is going to be fine (and his relationship with Harry will only grow stronger). Hope this makes sense; I'm writing on the fly - but I had to take a moment to comment. I loved it.
