I'm trying desperately to think of something to say that others haven't said yet. But, hey, what else is there to say? So, excuse the parroting. It WAS intensely beautiful and oh, so beautifully intense. And it DID blow me away, as it apparently has so many others.
This really is the best act of making love I've ever read. Even the ones I thought beautiful before, pale considerably next to this. Really.
Such a wonderfully detailed description of what happens, and in no way limited to the physical aspects, which makes this chapter so wonderful in my opinion. The swirling strands of colourful magic, the thoughts, the feelings, the dialogue, even the imperfection. Especially the imperfection, actually. Harry almost kicking Draco in the jaw, was just so... I don't know how to describe it. The tears... Overwhelming, really.
I never expected Harry to even consider to Obliviate Draco. He didn't seem panicked to me, so was he just considering the possibilities? Did it just seem as the logical thing to do for him? I wonder why he thought of it, when he knew that he was making a mistake when he was making it, and he knew that he would deeply regret that mistake.
A very much not anti-climatic post climax (sorry, does that make sense?), I find that really remarkable. How the tension was still there after the orgasm, how the moment which is normally spent in bliss and calm still made me feel exhilarated.
And really, I don't know how you do it, but you really seem to know what to write when ending a chapter. So many of your closing sentences are really superb.
Once again, this was fabulous. The whole story is.
Second time reading and still overwhelmed...
